  • MUHIL VASEEKARAN

Muhil Vaseekaran is a filmmaker born and raised outside Philadelphia. He recently graduated the NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and TV, and his first feature is currently in post production. Muhil has a deep understanding of all filmmaking aspects but primarily specializes in direction, color grading, and editing. As a director he has directed numerous short films and the aforementioned microbudget feature film. He loves to problem solve around restrictions and always finds a way to make a piece feel more professional and large scale than the budget would typically allow. As a colorist he values finding the perfect balance between making creative choices that enhance the tone and atmosphere of a piece while still satisfying the key wants and intentions of the client. Having colorgraded many music videos, Muhil also understands the tight deadlines in the music space — getting materials ready for labels, social media, news publications. He has practiced his color work for over four years to grade effectively and efficiently, especially for these fast turnarounds. Though more than anything, Muhil is obsessed with the craft of filmmaking. He deeply values any story or character someone intends to bring to life with film and will work tirelessly to foster the space where it can happen. Some of his favorite films include Heat, High and Low, Scream and 10 Things I Hate About You.
